Because my life if full of these things and my mental energy sometimes runs low, I figured that writing about them might just be the ticket. And here we are.
As you may have guessed by the blog title, red heads pretty much run my life. Here's a quick run-down:
Moose will be 5 in March and has the most adorable red curls. He is very mechanical and loves to figure out who things work. I think this is why he's obsessed with Transformers. Frankly, he's too bright for his own good sometimes. He's a challenge. Amazing, but a challenge!
Bee will also be 5 in March. Yes, they're twins. Definitely fraternal, as while they're both redheads, Bee has the smooth hair (his words). He's sweet and yet mischievous and is completely obsessed with animals. He knows more than many adults I know. Like did you know that there's Borneo and Sumatran orangutans? And mountain, eastern lowland, and western lowland gorillas? He does.I'm married to Craftsman. He's another darned red head. He likes making things. And he's good at it. And he loves movies and music like no one else I know. And cheese. He really, really likes cheese.
Josie (on the right) is about 6. She's a corgi/who-knows-what. She's not the brightest bulb in the crayon box. But she means well.
And me? I'm the solo brunette in this sea of redheads. I work running the office of a construction-based company. I'm the silent, but very necessary component of the company. Not silent because I don't open my mouth, oh no. My coworkers definitely know I'm there. But silent as in I don't do the sales and I don't do the actual work of the company, so it's very easy to forget that I play a crucial role. When I'm not working, I love to cook. I try to make as many things from scratch as I can, and I absolutely adore my instant pot. Like, nary obsessed. We garden in the summer, and since we're in the frozen northland, it's a fast and furious season. Gardening plays a big part in making as many things as I can from scratch. Just to complete my hobbies of things that would make me a good candidate to be a farm wife, I like to sew. I sew clothes for the little humans and myself. Sometimes I think I should have a business doing it, but since it would have to be on the side, who has time to add anything more?
So this is pretty much the story of my life, as it happens.
